Manchester United are heading into arguably the toughest phase of their season as they will face Atalanta twice, Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Villarreal and Watford over their next 10 games across all competitions. It is safe to say their results in these games could end up having a huge impact on how their season turns out.

Thus, it goes without saying that the club will need all their best players going into this series of games. But it does not look like that will be the case.

Both Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane are out injured at this point of time. And it remains to be seen when they will be back in action.

There is some good news on the injury front though as it looks like Marcus Rashford has recovered after undergoing surgery earlier in the summer and is now back in the squad and could feature against Leicester City. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed the news. As reported by Manchester United’s official website, the manager said:

"“He’s in the squad, yes.“If he’s going to start or not, I can’t tell you now because it wouldn’t be right but he’s worked really hard throughout the whole lay-off.“He’s been really bright this week, he had a 60-minute involvement in a behind-closed-doors game last week so he’s fit and raring to go.”"

Rashford is set to return to Manchester United’s squad vs Leicester City

Rashford underwent a shoulder surgery following EURO 2020 and has been out of action ever since. As a result, he has not featured for the first-team till now this season.

He did take part in a behind closed doors friendly recently though and will be a part of the squad against Leicester City. It remains to be seen whether he will feature or not but just his availability will be a massive boost for Manchester United, who have struggled to find the back of the net in recent times.

The Red Devils have had very competitive games against Leicester City in recent years and it will be interesting to see how the upcoming one turns out. Brendan Rodgers’ side have not made a great start to the season and currently sit at 13th.
