Manchester United’s squad is one of the deepest in world football right now. And as a result, there are a number of quality players at the club, who often do not get the time on the pitch that they might be looking for. Thus, there could be a few who depart the club in the future, whether it is on loan or on a permanent basis.

One player who has found it tough ever since arriving at Manchester United is Donny van de Beek. At one point of time, he was one of the most highly-rated young midfielders in world football. Now though, he finds himself on the bench the majority of the time as he has not been able to break into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting XI.

There does not appear to be any lack of interest in his signature though. In fact, some of the biggest clubs in Europe are being linked with Van de Beek.

As reported by El Nacional, Manchester United will agree to negotiate the transfer with Joan Laporta if Barcelona set a mandatory purchase option. It is believed that the Spanish giants could be looking to bring Van de Beek to Camp Nou on an initial loan.

Van de Beek has struggled since arriving at Manchester United

When Van de Beek arrived at Manchester United in the summer of 2020, it is safe to say that there were high hopes that he could turn out to be a regular feature for the Red Devils for years to come.

It is safe to say that things have not quiet gone that way and with the Dutch midfielder struggling for minutes this season as well, a move away from Old Trafford might very well be in his future.

Where his future lies remains to be seen but it is safe to say that some of the biggest clubs in world football are being linked with Van de Beek despite his disappointing spell at Manchester United till now.
