Manchester United made a huge splash in the summer transfer window by signing the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton. The start to the season has not matched the expectations coming into the campaign though.
Over their last six games, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have won just twice and find themselves out of the League Cup already, and in tricky situations in both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
As a result, it would not come as a huge surprise if Manchester United decide to make more additions to their squad in the near future. One player that they have been linked with for quite some time is FC Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele and it looks like the Red Devils have the Frenchman on their radar once again.
As reported by Sport, Manchester United have been tracking Dembele for over a year and are ready to make him a big contract offer when his contract expires with FC Barcelona.

At one point of time, Dembele was considered one of the biggest talents in world football and that is why FC Barcelona signed him in one of the most expensive transfer deals in football history. It is safe to say that things have not gone to plan since then.
Dembele has shown glimpses of his world-class potential on a number of occasions during his time at Camp Nou. But one injury after the other have meant that he has spent significant time on the sidelines.
Since joining the club back in the summer of 2017, Dembele has only made 118 appearances for FC Barcelona till now across all competitions and featured for 6824 minutes of football in total according to stats from Transfermarkt.
It is believed that the the Spanish giants still want to extend his current deal with the club but it remains to be seen whether they can reach an agreement on fresh terms with Dembele. Manchester United appear to be one of the clubs interested in signing him if he does end up leaving Camp Nou in the future.
