Manchester United have one of the strongest squads in world football right now, especially up front. On the wings, they have players like Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Jesse Lingard and several exciting youngsters. At striker, they have Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial.

But it must be said that when it comes to the options at striker, there is a lack of youth. Ronaldo is 36 years of age while Cavani is 34. Martial is still just 25 but he appears to be in third place in the pecking order at the moment and his Manchester United future is up in the air as well, with him being heavily linked with a move away in the future.

Thus, it would make a lot of sense for the Red Devils to make a move for a striker in the near future. And they appear to have a very exciting chance to sign Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic in the near future if they decide to go after him.

As reported by Sky Sports, Vlahovic has turned down Fiorentina’s offer of a new contract which would have made him the highest paid player in the history of the Italian club.

Vlahovic would be a brilliant signing for Manchester United

Vlahovic is one of the most highly-rated young strikers in world football right now and his style has often been compared to that of Erling Haaland.

Manchester United have been linked with Vlahovic in the recent past and it will be interesting to see whether they decide to make a move for him in the future. His current deal with Fiorentina is believed to be running out in the summer of 2023 and thus, they could be open to letting him leave soon.

Still just 21 years of age, Vlahovic has already proven himself as a consistent goalscorer at Fiorentina and he could prove to be a long-term solution for Manchester United up top if they are able to sign him. Competition for his signature is expected to be very tough though and also, he is believed to be rated at over £50 million with some rumoured figures even going as high as £76 million.
