Manchester United’s start to the season has been underwhelming to say the least. After signing Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton over the summer, they were expected to be one of the frontrunners in the Premier League title race. But their recent performances have not suggested that they can compete with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool or Chelsea.

Of course, we are still very early in the season and a good run of results from Manchester United can change everything. But at the moment, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might very well be feeling a bit of pressure.

It is safe to say that the results need to turn around as soon as possible. But Manchester United appear to be ready to back Solskjaer.

As reported by The Sun, Manchester United are fully behind Solskjaer and have no intention of sacking the manager.

Manchester United do not have any intention of sacking Solskjaer

It is safe to say that things have not gone smoothly for Solskjaer’s side recently as they have won just two of their previous six games in all competitions. But there is no denying the fact that the club have made a lot of progress during the Norwegian manager’s stint at Old Trafford.

Following Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013, Manchester United bounced around the Premier League table for years. It was with the arrival of Solskjaer that they regained some stability.

In his first full season as manager, they finished third and took one step forward in the next season, finishing second. And at the moment, they sit just two points behind league leaders, Chelsea.

Yes, Manchester United find themselves in a tricky position right now but it is nothing that they cannot overcome. The focus must be on improving the results following the international break and stringing together a series of wins.
