Manchester United have had their fair share of injury problems in recent times. But the incredible depth of their squad means that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been able to navigate through things quite easily when it comes to team selection, with a number of brilliant options available in each position. The results have left a lot to be desired though.

Manchester United were top of the Premier League table a few weeks back but have slipped down to fourth since then, behind the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City. They have also been knocked out of the League Cup and find themselves in a tricky situation in their Champions League group as well.

They have appeared to struggle to find the back of the net recently and thus, the return of Marcus Rashford would be a massive boost for the club.

The English international recently underwent shoulder operation and has not featured for Manchester United this season till now. But as reported by ESPN, Solskjaer hopes to have Rashford available for the first time this season when they take on Leicester City on October 16.

Rashford returning would be a massive boost for Manchester United

It is safe to say that Rashford has been an integral part of this Manchester United team for years now. So much so that it is easy to forget that he is still just 23 years of age.

Possessing an incredible eye for goal, his return to fitness would be a very welcome boost for Solskjaer’s side, who have not been able to score freely in recent weeks despite the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo in the team.

It will also be important to bring back Rashford slowly into the team. It is to be remembered that he has not played any football in months now and is expected to take some time to find his rhythm back.
