Manchester United have not made the start to the season that they would have wanted or expected. After finishing second in the Premier League last season, the Red Devils signed Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton over the course of the summer and were expected to make a charge for the Premier League title this season.

Their start was bright as well and not too long ago, Manchester United were sitting at the top of the Premier League table. But since then, they have slipped down and currently find themselves sitting at fourth after Chelsea won while both Manchester City and Liverpool drew on matchday 7.

There are more worries for Manchester United than just results though. Several of their players have picked up injuries in recent times and now, it appears that they might have another worry on their hands.

Anthony Martial scored against Everton but had to be substituted off before the hour mark as he appeared to be limping. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed after the match that he had picked up a knock. As reported by Manchester United’s official website, he said:

"“Great movement, great interlink play.“Scott [McTominay], Mason [Greenwood], Bruno, Anthony: good finish. Very pleased for him and with him.“Unfortunately he got a knock and had to come off.”"

It is safe to say that Martial must have been delighted to find the back of the net against Everton. He has not been in brilliant form in recent times and the goal must have been a massive confidence booster for him.

But then, it turned out to be a mixed evening for him as he picked up a knock. One can only hope that it is not a serious issue and he is back on the pitch as soon as possible.

While Martial has not been great over the past season or so, he has shown in the past that he can be a very important player for Manchester United and if he can rediscover his form, he could play a major role in this team.
