Manchester United are coming off of a disappointing 2-1 away defeat at the hands of Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League. While it was a bad result for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, overall, things have been very positive for them this season. They sit at the top of the Premier League table, level on points and goal difference with Chelsea and Liverpool but ahead on goals scored.

And it appears that there is more positive news on the horizon for the Red Devils, especially on the injury front.

Scott McTominay and Alex Telles have returned to full training recently. And it looks like Marcus Rashford is recovering very well from his shoulder operation and is ahead of schedule at the moment.

Henry Winter tweeted out regarding Rashford’s situation:

Rashford returning would be a huge boost for Manchester United

Rashford is certainly an important part of this Manchester United team and has been for quite a while now. So much so that it is easy to forget that he is still just 23 years of age.

Rashford returning would be a massive boost for Solskjaer’s side. Not only will he provide them with an option up the pitch but he is someone who could improve significantly while playing with Cristiano Ronaldo, someone who he has been compared with in the past.

For now though, it might still be quite some time before he is back in the thick of things as he is still recovering from his shoulder operation. But when he is back, Manchester United’s options up top will be incredible.

For the time being, it appears that it is Jadon Sancho who will be playing in the left-wing role. He has not been in brilliant form ever since arriving at Old Trafford but that is perhaps expected. Hopefully he will adjust to his new surroundings soon and start delivering like he did at Borussia Dortmund.
