Solskjaer confirms Manchester United duo have recovered from injury
This is a very exciting time to be a Manchester United fan. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were already one of the contenders for the Premier League title after having signed Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton. And then they managed to bring back Cristiano Ronaldo to the Theatre of Dreams more than a decade after his departure.
Things are certainly looking up for Solskjaer’s side. One recent worry has been that they had been handed quite a few injury blows. But it looks like there is positive news on that front as well.
Two players who had been injured recently are Jadon Sancho and Scott McTominay. Sancho had picked up a knock while with the England national team and was sent back to the club early from international duty. On the other hand, McTominay had undergone groin surgery recently.
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Solskjaer said regarding Sancho:
"“Jadon’s come back in with a minor knock but he’s trained the last couple of days. Disappointed he couldn’t play for England but determined to be fit, he’s available, that’s a positive.”"
The manager said regarding McTominay:
"“Scott has recovered very quickly from the operation. If he’s going to play or not, I’m not sure, but probably not, depending on who we’ve got available and who we can use.”"

Manchester United duo have recovered from respective injuries
It is certainly great news that the duo have recovered and are available for the club’s upcoming game against Newcastle United even though it remains to be seen whether they will feature.
Sancho was signed earlier this summer and is expected to be a major part of this team moving forward. While he has already made a few appearances for the Red Devils, he is yet to truly settle into his new surroundings and more minutes under his belt would be good news.
On the other hand, midfield is an area of the pitch where the club might be a bit short of options in at the moment, especially with the unavailability of Fred. Thus, McTominay’s return is a welcome boost although he might not play against Newcastle United.
The upcoming game against Newcastle United could be even more special for the Red Devils because of the fact that it could mark Ronaldo’s second debut for the club.
