After being linked with Jadon Sancho for years, Manchester United finally managed to get a deal for him over the line this summer and bring the England international to Old Trafford. The 21-year-old had established himself as one of the most exciting wingers in world football during his time at Borussia Dortmund and it is not hard to see why the Red Devils were so interested in signing him.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Sancho has already made 3 appearances for the club. He is yet to either score or assist for them, but that is not expected to be a worry once he settles into his new surroundings.

The club were handed an injury worry regarding Sancho though as he picked up knock in training earlier this week with the England national team.

Now, he has left the England national team squad. But fortunately, it appears to be a minor knock and he is expected to recover in time to feature for Manchester United in their upcoming game against Newcastle United. As reported by England football:

"Jadon Sancho will play no part in England’s forthcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Poland. The forward picked up a minor knock in training earlier this week which ruled him out of the 4-0 victory in Hungary.Following further assessment, the 21 year old has returned to his club and is expected to recover in time for Manchester United’s fixture with Newcastle United on Saturday 11 September."

Sancho is expected to play a big role for Manchester United moving forward

While he has not quite settled in yet, Sancho is expected to be a first-team regular for the Red Devils for years to come. Capable of playing on both wings, his versatility can be a massive asset to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over the course of a long season.

Sancho has already shown how effective he can be during his time at Borussia Dortmund, both finding the back of the net and setting up goals for others on a consistent basis. Now, Solskjaer will be hoping that he can do the same at Old Trafford.

At 21 years of age, Sancho will be expected to get only better with time as he gains more experience, which should be an exciting thought for any Manchester United fan.
