Manchester United’s squad depth is terrific at this point of time and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must be delighted with the options that he has this season.

Having signed Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton this summer, the Red Devils must be considered as one of the favourites to win the Premier League this season. And there are definitely high expectations that they will end their four-season streak of not winning a trophy.

While it does not feel like the club will end up signing any more players this summer, outgoings are still likely, whether on loan or on a permanent basis. And one player who appeared to be set to exit Old Trafford in search of regular playing time is Amad. But now it looks like that won’t be happening in the near future.

As reported by Manchester United’s official website, Amad sustained a thigh muscle injury in training and is likely to be out for six weeks. Unfortunately, this happened just before his planned loan move to Feyenoord. He will remain at the club and rehabilitate back to full fitness.

Amad is set to remain at Manchester United following an injury in training

While Amad has been impressive in the appearances that he has made for the club till now, it is unlikely that he will get too many first-team opportunities this season considering the incredible depth of the current squad.

Thus, going to a club like Feyenoord, who are one of the top teams in the Netherlands, might have been a brilliant opportunity for the player to get some experience of senior football under his belt and develop as a footballer. Thus, it is safe to say that Amad was extremely unlucky.

For now though, the most important thing for Amad is to recover from his injury and return to full fitness. We would like to wish him the best of luck.
