Jose Mourinho reacts to Cristiano Ronaldo joining Manchester United
Cristiano Ronaldo is set to make a blockbuster return to Manchester United this summer as the club have agreed a deal with Juventus to sign the Portuguese superstar.
The Portuguese superstar had established himself as a club legend at Old Trafford during his first stint there and will now be looking to build upon that legacy.
Ronaldo is coming off of a three-year spell at Juventus which might not have gone the way that most people would have expected. He was seen as the missing piece of the puzzle who would lead the Italian giants to the UEFA Champions League title. That has not happened though as they appeared to take a step back in Europe over the past three seasons and finished fourth in Serie A last season.
The feeling was that Ronaldo was set to remain at the club for the season. But things opened up over the past couple of days. At one point of time, it was looking like he was set to move to Manchester City but that failed to materialise and instead, he will be returning to the Theatre of Dreams.
Mourinho reacts to Ronaldo returning to Manchester United
One man who has a history with both Manchester United and Ronaldo is Jose Mourinho. As reported by Football Italia, the Portuguese manager said when asked regarding the matter:
"“The only thing I say and it seems basic and logical to me, if Juve are happy, if Cristiano is happy and United are happy, then it’s the perfect business.“There’s no need to talk about Cristiano. For 20 years he has written history, there’s nothing to comment.”"

The move will have an effect on Mourinho as well. Right now, he is the manager of AS Roma and has made a bright start to the campaign with them. Ronaldo leaving Juventus could certainly make it a bit easier for his side this season to challenge for titles.
And what the Portuguese manager said does make all the sense in the world. If the player and both the clubs are happy with the deal, then it is absolutely a perfect move for all parties involved.
Now, what remains to be seen is how Ronaldo will perform in his second stint at Manchester United. It will be very interesting to see how he adjusts to the Premier League after being away for over a decade and now at 36 years of age, it will certainly be a different kind of challenge. At the end of the day, he has been incredibly successful wherever he has been. And hopefully that won’t change this time around.
