Major update on Bruno Fernandes’ Manchester United future
Bruno Fernandes has most probably been Manchester United’s best player ever since joining the club back in January of 2020.
The Portuguese superstar has been absolutely sensational during his time at the Theatre of Dreams and established himself as one of world football’s superstars. Thus, it should come as no surprise that the club want to hand him a new contract.
Fernandes current deal is believed to run till the summer of 2025 with the option for a further year. Thus, there is no urgent need for an extension right now. But rumours have suggested that the club want to reward him for his incredible performances with a new and improved deal.
Fabrizio Romano tweeted out an update on the situation, as talks are still ongoing but it looks like Fernandes is happy to stay at the club:

Fernandes has been absolutely brilliant during his time at Manchester United
It is safe to say that Fernandes has perhaps been the biggest reason behind the improvement that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have shown over the past couple of years or so. The Portuguese international has appeared to have had a big influence both on and off the pitch, as he looks like one of the leaders in this team.
The Red Devils finished second in the Premier League last season while also reaching the final of the Europa League, with Fernandes playing a big role in both of those campaigns.
Ultimately though, the club could not win a trophy. In fact, they have not won any silverware over the past four seasons. And hopefully, they can bring an end to their trophyless streak as soon as possible.
There are a lot of expectations that this could be their season though, following the additions of Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton to the Red Devils’ squad over the summer transfer window.
