Manchester United player wants move to Brazilian club over Everton
Manchester United have enjoyed a brilliant summer transfer window so far, with long-term transfer targets such as Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane joining the club, to strengthen Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad this season.
While the club’s transfer incomings this summer were swift and efficient, there are still a number of players in the squad who are expected to depart Old Trafford either on loan or permanent basis before the transfer window closes.
One such player is Andreas Pereira, who has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for a while now. He returned this summer from his season-long loan spell at Lazio. And this time around, it looks like he could be headed to Brazil for the season.
As reported by TNT Sports, Pereira has decided to play for Flamengo even though a proposal was made by Everton. Now a move will depend on the the Brazilian club agreeing a deal for the midfielder. As reported by Sky Sports, he is finalising a season-long loan move to the Brazilian club.

Andreas Pereira looks set to leave Manchester United to join Flamengo
Pereira will be hoping to represent the Brazil national team in the upcoming World Cup. As a result moving to Flamengo could certainly provide him with a great opportunity to impress Tite.
Pereira spent last season playing for Lazio on loan, where he registered 1 goal and 4 assists from 33 appearances across all competitions while featuring for 801 minutes of football, according to the stats from Transfermarkt.
Following his return to Old Trafford this summer, Pereira participated in the club’s pre-season friendlies. He scored an outstanding volley from outside the box against Brentford. But even then, it is unlikely that he would get too many opportunities in Solskjaer’s side if he was to remain at the club this season.
Therefore, another season-long loan makes a lot of sense for Pereira. His current deal with the club is believed to run till the summer of 2023 with the option of extending it for a further year.
