Paris Saint-Germain have pulled off one of the greatest transfer windows in football history, as the French club signed Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi and Georginio Wijnaldum. What impact could it have on the Manchester United future of Paul Pogba though?

Most clubs would probably consider their transfer window a massive success if they managed to sign one of those five players. And it is safe to say that PSG are the heavy favourites for the UEFA Champions League going into the new season.

One man that they were believed to have on their radar this summer is Paul Pogba. The Frenchman is in the final 12 months of his current deal at Old Trafford. Following the arrival of Messi though, a move to PSG for Pogba looks very unlikely this summer.

The French giants appear to be still interested in ultimately signing Pogba though. As reported by the Independent, PSG are willing to offer Pogba a massive €600,000 a week salary to join on a free transfer next summer.

PSG still want to sign the Manchester United star but not this summer

Pogba was one of the standout players for the Red Devils in their Premier League opening day 5-1 win over Leeds United. The French midfield maestro provided four assists on the day in what was one of his best performances ever in a Manchester United shirt.

However, his long-term future at Old Trafford is still uncertain with less than a year left on his contract. He will become a free agent next summer if he does not sign an extension with the club by then.

Pogba remains a massive part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team plans though and as a result, the Red Devils would be hoping that he does end up extending his stay at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future.
