Manchester United have strengthened their squad significantly over the course of this summer transfer window. The club has already signed Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton, and with a few weeks of the transfer window left, more arrivals could take place.

Sancho is someone who the club have been linked with for years now. And the club have finally managed to sign him from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

He would be expected to come in and make the right wing position his own. The English international made his debut for the club against Leeds United as a second-half substitute. But his arrival might mean that some players need to leave on loan in search of playing time.

Facundo Pellistri has already joined Deportivo Alaves on a season-long loan and it looks like Amad might have to head out on loan this season as well. As reported by Express, Fabrizio Romano told The United Stand:

"“I mention Basel and Crystal Palace because I am told they are the two clubs pushing to sign him.“Basel, in particular, are really insisting but I think the player wants to try something in different countries, in different leagues.“Maybe in the Premier League or maybe even the Bundesliga as German clubs are trying for Amad.“It’s really an open situation, he is not in a rush to decide.“He will go on loan, it’s 90 per cent he will go on loan, it’s not clear just yet which club he wants to join.”"

Amad looks set to leave Manchester United on loan this summer

Manchester United had signed Amad last summer from Atalanta. According to stats from Transfermarkt, the 19-year-old made 8 appearances for the first-team last season, scoring and assisting once each. He has also already represented the Ivory Coast national team on three occasions.

He has looked very impressive till now and has the potential to be an absolute superstar in the future. But at this point of time, it is unlikely that he will feature regularly in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team.

As a result, a loan move away for the season makes a lot of sense for a player like Amad. At this stage of his career, he needs regular playing time and he can hopefully get that on loan.

It does look like a loan exit is very likely for the youngster this summer. Crystal Palace and FC Basel look like the two clubs who are pushing to sign him.
