Manchester United began this summer transfer window with the signing of Tom Heaton on a free transfer. Then they managed to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, after being linked with the player for years now. And Raphael Varane has joined the Red Devils as well.

As a result, this might very well be one of the most successful transfer windows in the club’s recent history. And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad looks much stronger now. But they might be looking to make further additions to the squad this summer.

The Red Devils are believed to be considering making a move for a midfielder this summer. As a result, they have been linked with several players capable of playing there in recent times, with one of them being Bayern Munich’s Corentin Tolisso. The French international’s current deal with the Bundesliga giants is believed to run till the summer of 2022.

But as tweeted out by James Ducker, Manchester United have ‘no interest’ in Tolisso.

Will Manchester United make a move for a midfielder this summer?

Paul Pogba’s future at Old Trafford remains uncertain. He is in the final 12 months of his current deal and is yet to sign a contract extension. As a result, as things stand, Pogba might end up leaving the club for nothing next summer.

On the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain were believed to be interested in signing the French midfielder this summer. But having signed Lionel Messi already, that move feels unlikely now.

Signing a replacement for Pogba could truly be a difficult task, as a player of his quality is not available often. Thus, things will become truly interesting if he does end up leaving Old Trafford in the near future.

The French midfielder gave a glimpse of his world-class talent on the Premier League opening day itself by providing 4 assists against Leeds United.
