Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hints at Manchester United transfer surprises

Manchester United have enjoyed a spectacular summer transfer window till now. They have brought in Jadon Sancho, a player who the club have been linked with for years, and Tom Heaton, who could have an important role in this squad as well.

The signing of Raphael Varane does not seem to be far away either. And the French World Cup winner could be a spectacular addition to this team. He could form one of the best defensive duos in all of Europe alongside Harry Maguire in the heart of the Red Devils’ defence.

Thus, it is safe to say that the squad has been strengthened significantly over the summer. And after finishing second in the Premier League last season, they could be one of the top contenders for the title this time around.

Manchester United’s transfer incomings for the summer might not be over yet though. When asked about his recruitment plans, as reported by GOAL, Solskjaer told Sky Sports:

"“You never know what’s going to happen in football.“Of course we have still got one hopefully coming in [Varane] and any surprises, anything can happen, we have got to be ready. But I’m very happy with what we’ve done so far.”"

Manchester United’s summer recruitment might not be over yet

The Red Devils have done very well in this summer transfer window and should be delighted with the signings that they have made. But some rumours have suggested that the club could be looking to make further additions to their squad.

Right-back and central midfield are believed to be positions that the club could still be possibly looking to make signings in. Although, the strong performances of Diogo Dalot in pre-season might see him competing with Aaron Wan-Bissaka for the right-back spot.

It remains to be seen what the future holds but for now, it is safe to say that Solskjaer has a brilliant squad to pick his team from. There appears to be depth in most positions. And after four trophyless seasons, there is a lot of hope that the club could go on and lift some silverware this time around.
