Manchester United star’s transfer exit will not happen
Manchester United have brought in some solid signings in this summer transfer window. Jadon Sancho and Tom Heaton have already arrived while a move for Raphael Varane is not far away either.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side finished second in the Premier League last season and as runners up in the Europa League, and appeared to be a difficult team to beat. And it does look like they have strengthened significantly this summer. Thus, the Red Devils are expected to be one of the contenders for the Premier League title next season.
A few players could be on their way out of Old Trafford as well, in search of playing time. Phil Jones is one such player.
The long time Manchester United player has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham United recently but it looks like that won’t be happening this summer. Jonathan Shrager tweeted out:

It does not look like the Manchester United player will join West Ham United this summer
Jones has struggled with injuries recently and has been out of action for over a year. And with Varane set to join the club, first-time minutes could prove to be limited for Jones next season.
Thus, he has been linked with a move away this summer. West Ham United were one of the clubs believed to be interested in signing Jones. The Hammers are currently managed by David Moyes, who will know the English defender well from his own spell at Old Trafford.
Jones joined the Red Devils back in the summer of 2011, when the club were managed by Sir Alex Ferguson. He was one of the most highly-rated young defenders in the world at that point of time.
Since then, Jones has made over 200 appearances for the Red Devils but has struggled with injuries recently. Still just 29 years of age, he could have years of football left in the tank if he can remain fit moving forward.
