Frank Lampard makes exciting Manchester United claim
Frank Lampard knows a thing or two about winning the Premier League. He won it three times during his playing days with Chelsea and is one of the greatest players in English football history. And his recent comments should excite Manchester United fans.
At the start of last season, he must have been hoping to win it once again, but this time as the Chelsea manager. His side made a terrific start to the campaign and it was looking like they were going to challenge for the title. But a bad run towards the end of the year put them out of the title race and he was replaced by Thomas Tuchel in January.
Tuchel managed to guide Chelsea to a top four finish and the UEFA Champions League title, and many people believe it might be a race between The Blues and Manchester City for the Premier League trophy this time around.
Lampard feels that Manchester United and Liverpool could very well be in the title race as well though. While speaking with Sky Sports and as reported by the Daily Star, he said:
"“I think you can’t discount Manchester United. They were not far off last year and they’ve gone again and I think brought in really impressive signings.“Liverpool will be the same. They missed huge players through injury for big parts of last season. The year before they were one of the best teams we’ve seen in the Premier League.”"

Lampard’s comments should excite Manchester United and Liverpool fans
The Red Devils have enjoyed a terrific summer transfer window. Jadon Sancho and Tom Heaton have already arrived at Old Trafford, while a move for Raphael Varane appears to be a matter of time as well, with an agreement already reached with Real Madrid.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side finished the previous campaign at second and appeared to be a very difficult team to beat. And this time around, it is safe to say that they have strengthened their squad even further.
On the other hand, Liverpool are expected to be stronger as well with a number of their top stars returning from injuries.
Of course, Manchester City and Chelsea, last season’s UEFA Champions League finalists, are expected to compete for the Premier League title as well. Thus, this could prove to be a very exciting title race.
