Bayern Munich want to sign Manchester United transfer target
Manchester United have shown some tremendous progress over the past few seasons. In 2020/21, they finished second in the Premier League table and as runners up in the Europa League. But the Red Devils have not managed to win a trophy during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s time as manager.
In fact, the club have gone four seasons without a trophy now and will be hoping to bring an end to that streak as soon as possible.
They have already signed Jadon Sancho and Tom Heaton this summer, while a move for Raphael Varane appears to be only a matter of time now with an agreement reached with Real Madrid. And next summer, things could get even more interesting as Manchester United are believed to be one of the clubs interested in signing Erling Haaland.
But the race for the Norwegian striker’s signature is expected to be tough. And Bayern Munich sporting director, Hasan Salihamidzic, appeared to confirm that the Bundesliga giants are looking at the possibility of a move. While speaking with Sport1 and as reported by the Daily Mail, he said:
"“This is a top player that probably the whole world wants. Of course we are looking there. Otherwise we would be complete amateurs.”"

Manchester United face competition in Haaland transfer race
It is clear that the Red Devils have strengthened their squad significantly over the summer transfer window and should be considered as serious contenders for the Premier League title this season.
But at clubs like Manchester United, one must always prepare for the future as well as the present. Next summer, a release clause is believed to be set to become active in Haaland’s contract. And as a result, some of the biggest clubs in Europe are expected to be in the race for his signature.
If the Red Devils are able to sign him then it would be considered as a major coup on their part. Haaland has been absolutely sensational over the past few years and is expected to be one of the best strikers in world football for the next decade or so.
