Manchester United have already made some significant moves in this summer transfer window. They have already signed Jadon Sancho, who the club have been interested in for years, and Tom Heaton. They have also reached an agreement with Real Madrid to sign Raphael Varane.

Thus, this has already been a spectacular transfer window for the club and one that they should be delighted with. But they are not expected to stop just yet and there might be a couple more positions that they are looking to strengthen in.

One of those might be central midfield. Paul Pogba’s future remains up in the air while Nemanja Matic is set to turn 33 years of age soon. There have also been rumours about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer using a different formation next season.

As a result, the Red Devils might very well need to strengthen in the middle of the park and one player that they have been linked with for a while now is Declan Rice. But it does not look like they will be making a move for the West Ham United star this summer. While speaking on Sky Sports, in a video relayed by Football Daily on Twitter and as quoted by West Ham Zone, Dharmesh Sheth said:

"“They’ve [Manchester United] also been linked with Declan Rice, that’s been there for two or three windows now.“I’m told, as it stands, that there are no plans to move for Declan Rice in this transfer window, and what’s more, West Ham simply aren’t for selling in this transfer window.“That’s the noises we are getting from West Ham.”"

Manchester United won’t make Rice move this summer

It is perhaps understandable that Manchester United won’t make a move for Rice this summer. While the England international has been brilliant for quite some time now and would be a terrific signing, he is believed to be rated at around £100 million by West Ham United.

After agreeing big deals for Sancho and Varane, it would be very difficult for the Red Devils to make such a move happen.

On the other hand, it does not look like West Ham United want to part ways with their star player this summer either. It is worth pointing out that Chelsea have been linked with Rice as well and it remains to be seen if they try to sign him.
