One of the positions that Manchester United could look to strengthen in over the course of the summer transfer window is right-back. The club do not possess a lot of depth there at this point of time.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has served as the starting right-back ever since arriving at Old Trafford. But beyond him, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might not have too many options next season.

Brandon Williams could be on his way out on loan in order to play regular first-team football. Diogo Dalot’s future remains up in the air as well after having spent the previous season on loan at AC Milan. Even Axel Tuanzebe, who played at right-back on occasion last season, is rumoured to be headed out on loan himself.

As a result, it would not be surprising to see them make a move for a right-back this summer. As reported by La Stampa (via Il Napolista), Manchester United could offer up to €20 million for Giovanni Di Lorenzo, who has shined at EURO 2020 while playing for the Italian national team.

Manchester United linked with move for Di Lorenzo

Di Lorenzo currently plays for Napoli in the Serie A, for whom he has impressed as well. But it looks like it is his performances at EURO 2020, that have managed to catch the eye of clubs around Europe.

The 27-year-old has been impressive to say the least and could prove to be a brilliant signing for the Red Devils if they are able to get a deal for him over the line. Di Lorenzo has attracted a lot of interest though and has been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid in the recent past as well.

The club have been linked with a move for Kieran Trippier in the past few months as well, but it does not look like there has been much progress regarding that deal recently.
