Manchester United handed major blow in Erling Haaland transfer race
Erling Haaland is a player that Manchester United have been linked with for a long time now and it is not hard to see why. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already managed the striker back during their time at Molde and as a result, will be well aware of his abilities.
At this point of time, the Norwegian international might very well have the highest potential of any player in world football. At 20 years of age, he is coming off of back-to-back 40-plus goal seasons. That is incredible!
As a result, it should not come as a surprise that a number of clubs around Europe are interested in his signature. While a transfer release clause is expected to become active next summer, some of them might even try to bring him in this summer itself.
Chelsea appear to be chasing the transfer of the Norwegian striker at this point of time. And as reported by 90 Min, The Blues are prepared to offer up to £150 million for Haaland this summer.

Manchester United handed Haaland transfer blow
Haaland is a player that the Red Devils are believed to be interested in but after agreeing a deal with Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho’s transfer, it is very unlikely that they will move for Haaland as well this summer.
On the other hand, if Chelsea make a massive transfer bid for the striker, Borussia Dortmund could be open to letting him leave, considering the fact that he is expected to have a release clause next summer much lower than the transfer fee that they could possibly receive this time around.
Chelsea signing Haaland would be a massive blow to Manchester United in two ways. Firstly, they will miss out on the opportunity to sign a great player. And secondly, it will make Thomas Tuchel’s side stronger, just months after they won the UEFA Champions League without a consistent goalscorer.
