There has always been a feeling that Paul Pogba has not managed to showcase his full potential at Old Trafford ever since joining Manchester United from Juventus back in 2016 in a then world-record transfer move.

While the midfielder has shown glimpses of his quality from time to time, he has not managed to perform at his very best on a consistent basis for the Red Devils. Last season though, he was playing some of the best football of his time at the Theatre of Dreams and it goes without saying that he was one of the biggest reasons why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side managed to finish second in the Premier League table.

He is entering the final year of his contract with the club though and as a result, his future remains up in the air at this point of time. There is a possibility that he could end up leaving this summer if the Red Devils cannot agree a contract extension with the French World Cup winner.

The club seems to be very keen on keeping him though. As reported by The Sun, Manchester United are ready to make Pogba the highest-paid player in the Premier League by offering him a stunning £104 million, five-year deal.

Will Pogba remain at Manchester United?

For quite some time now, it has appeared that Pogba wants to pursue a new challenge by moving away from the Premier League. Clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have been linked with the French midfield maestro.

But one would hope that the recent progress shown by the Red Devils on the pitch and a massive contract offer, can persuade him to remain at Old Trafford. Otherwise, a move away this summer might very well be on the cards.

There is no doubt about the fact that on his day, Pogba is one of the best midfielders on the planet. He has shown that on a consistent basis while representing the France national team. And hopefully, he can replicate that at Old Trafford as well, in the near future.
