Manchester United star set to leave on season-long loan
Manchester United showed a lot of progress in the previous season. And although they did not end up winning a trophy, the overall signs were positive for the Red Devils. A couple of solid additions over the summer and there is hope that they could be challenging for titles next season.
One man who saw his playing opportunities reduced though was Brandon Williams. The youngster had played a significant role in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in the 2019/20 campaign. But according to stats from Transfermarkt, he made 14 appearances last season, featuring for 658 minutes.
But at 20 years of age, he needs to be playing more regularly if he is to continue his development as a footballer. Thus, the youngster could be on his way out of Old Trafford soon in order to gain some first-team experience.
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Williams has been granted permission to leave on a season-long loan. And it is believed that the player is generating interest from both Premier League and Championship clubs.

Manchester United might need to sign a new right-back this summer
Right-back is already a position that Manchester United do not possess much depth in at this point of time. And if Williams does leave on a season-long loan, it might mean that they need to sign a new right-back over the course of the summer transfer window.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been the regular starter for the Red Devils ever since moving to Old Trafford. But beyond him, there does not appear to be too many options at the moment. Diogo Dalot’s future is also up in the air while Axel Tuanzebe, who has played at right-back on a few occasions, could also leave on loan in the summer.
Thus, it remains to be seen what the club decide to do over the course of the next few months. One right-back that they have been heavily linked with in recent times though is Kieran Trippier.
