The fixtures for the 2021/22 Premier League season have been released. And after finishing second in the previous campaign, Manchester United will be hoping to go one step further and lift the title next time around. Of course, that won’t be easy. Next season promises to be one of the toughest Premier League campaigns in recent memory.

Manchester City won the title next season and are only expected to get stronger in the summer transfer window. Chelsea are the Champions League winners and will look to replicate their success in the Premier League as well. Liverpool will also be keen to bounce back after a season-filled with injuries.

The likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are expected to try to turn things around as well. While several other clubs will make a push for an European spot after West Ham United’s success last season.

Here are the club’s fixtures for the 2021/22 Premier League season as put out by Manchester United’s official website:

Taking a look at Manchester United’s fixtures for the upcoming Premier League season

As you can see, they’ll start the 2021/22 campaign with a game against Leeds United at Old Trafford and the last game of the league season will be away at Crystal Palace.

While the Red Devils will face some solid opposition early on, their start to the campaign cannot be called too difficult. It is only on the fifth matchday that they will take on a team that finished in the top 6 last season, in the form of West Ham United and it is on the ninth matchday that they will take on one that finished in the top four, Liverpool.

October promises to be a difficult month, with four very solid opponents in consecutive games. November won’t be any easier with the club facing Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal in three of the four games that month.

After that, March of next year will prove to be a very significant month as well, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side having to face Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
