Manchester United are expected to try to sign a winger this summer. And Jadon Sancho looks very much like the man who is on top of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s wishlist at this point of time.

In fact, the club have had him in their sights for quite some time now. They had tried to sign him in the previous summer transfer window but Borussia Dortmund were believed to be looking for a transfer fee of around €120 million back then, a figure that the Red Devils could not match. As a result, the move failed to materialise.

But the Red Devils are set to make a move for him this time around as well. As reported by BBC, they have already had a £67 million transfer bid rejected for the English international.

Despite that, there is a positive feeling that the deal can be done this summer. But even then, the club must be prepared for the scenario in which a Sancho move fails to materialise once again. As reported by the Express, Callum Hudson-Odoi is one of the alternative targets and his positional flexibility would make him of interest to Manchester United if their other transfer attempts fall through.

Hudson-Odoi linked with Manchester United move

Hudson-Odoi has always been considered as one of the most talented youngsters at Chelsea. But he has not managed to establish himself as a first-team starter till now.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made 98 appearances for The Blues till now, scoring 13 goals and providing 16 assists. What is very impressive though is the fact that he has featured for 4567 minutes on the pitch over those 98 appearances, meaning he is averaging a goal contribution about every 157 minutes or so. Thus, he is a very effective footballer.

Even then, he is just 20 years of age and has a lot of time on his hands to take his game to the next level. And if there was the opportunity to bring him to Old Trafford, Manchester United should definitely try to make the move happen.
