Leicester City linked with move for Manchester United star

Manchester United have done brilliantly this season to secure themselves the second spot in the Premier League table with a game still to be played. They are also in the final of the Europa League where they will take on Villarreal. But one has to feel that the club will be looking to improve even further in the upcoming season.

Ultimately, the Red Devils would like to return to the top of English football and challenge for trophies on a consistent basis. In that regard, they still need to take a few more steps.

As a result, while new faces are expected to arrive at Old Trafford, some players could head in the opposite direction. One of them could be Daniel James.

The 23-year-old has made 24 appearances this season and featured for a combined 1426 minutes, scoring 5 goals and assisting one, according to stats from Transfermarkt. It does not feel like James is a long-term solution on the flank for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer though as the club are expected to sign a new right winger in the summer. And journalist Paul Swinson has tweeted out that Leicester City are interested in the Wales international:

James could be set to leave Manchester United in the near future

James made a brilliant start to life at Old Trafford but has not managed to establish himself as a first-team starter since then. And it does feel like he could be set to leave the club in the near future, especially if they are able to sign a winger this summer.

Leicester City have been linked with the 23-year-old and they could be a good option for him. The Foxes have shown brilliant consistency under Brendan Rodgers and are one of the best teams in the Premier League right now. They have won the FA Cup this season and are competing for a Champions League spot going into the final matchday.

Leeds United have been heavily linked with James in the past as well but things have been quiet regarding the move recently.
