Another Manchester United star wanted by Jose Mourinho
We are quite some time away from next season but there is already a lot of interest surrounding AS Roma, who will be managed by Jose Mourinho from the 2021/2022 campaign. And it appears that he might be looking to sign quite a few players from former side, Manchester United.
The Serie A giants have already been linked with Nemanja Matic, since the announcement that Mourinho will be in their dugout come next season. And now, it looks like Donny van de Beek is another player that they have on their wish list.
As reported by Calciomercato (via Metro), AS Roma are willing to make an offer of €30 million for the Dutch international, who has struggled ever since moving to Old Trafford last summer.
But the big question is, will Manchester United be willing to let Van de Beek leave after just a solitary season at the club?

AS Roma linked with another Manchester United star
It is safe to say that things have not gone the way Van de Beek would have imagined when he moved to Old Trafford from Ajax last summer.
According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made 33 appearances across all competitions this season for the Red Devils, scoring once and assisting twice. But overall, he has managed just 1271 minutes of football till now.
Things could turn out to be different next season though. Paul Pogba is yet to sign a new contract with the club and could be on his way out this summer. As a result, Van de Beek could move up the pecking order if the Frenchman ends up departing Old Trafford.
It is possible that that might have been the plan with the Dutch midfielder from the very beginning. To give him a year to adjust to the English game before integrating him into the first-team from the following season.
