Chelsea enter transfer race for Manchester United target

One player that Manchester United have been linked with for a long time is Jadon Sancho. The English international has established himself as one of the brightest talents in all of Europe since joining Borussia Dortmund in 2017.

It is no secret that the Red Devils had tried to sign him in the previous summer transfer window. But ultimately a move failed to materialise as they could not match the €120 million transfer fee that Borussia Dortmund were believed to be looking for.

Things appear to have changed since then though. Now, it looks like the Bundesliga giants are more open to a Sancho departure and could even let him leave for a lower transfer fee. And naturally, that is expected to draw the interest of more clubs when it comes to Sancho.

As reported by Bild (via The Sun), Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is planning a swoop for the English winger.

Chelsea join race for long-time Manchester United target

Chelsea have shown some impressive progress ever since Thomas Tuchel became the manager of the club in January. And it is expected that the Blues will back him in the upcoming summer transfer window.

It is believed that Sancho could be available for a transfer fee in the region of €85 million to €90 million. And considering the fact that he is still just 21 years of age and his incredible potential, it is understandable why some of the biggest clubs in Europe are being linked with him.

He has already proven himself at Borussia Dortmund. In 133 appearances for the club, he has scored 46 goals and provided 62 assists according to stats from Transfermarkt.

Right wing is an area where Manchester United do not possess much depth in and if there is the opportunity to sign Sancho this summer, then they must definitely try to make the move happen.
