Paul Pogba has been playing some of the best football of his Manchester United career this season. While he has had his fair share of injury issues, when on the pitch, he clearly makes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side a better team.
Thus, they would be keen to hold on to the Frenchman for the foreseeable future and would want to see him sign a contract extension as soon as possible. But with his current deal set to run out in the summer of 2022, there is still the possibility that he could end up leaving the club at the end of this campaign.
When it comes to Pogba, Real Madrid are a club that he has always been linked with. And if he was to leave Old Trafford in the near future, it is very possible that the La Liga giants would be interested in a move.
His agent, Mino Raiola, has now revealed why Real Madrid have always been an attractive option for Pogba. As reported by AS, he said:
"“And I’m not going to kid you, for Pogba, playing at Madrid was always a really attractive option, because of Zidane too. He’s Pogba’s childhood hero.”"

Could Pogba leave Manchester United for Real Madrid?
At one point of time, it had looked like Pogba was destined to leave Manchester United. And while it is easy to forget now, at the start of the season, he was even benched by Solskjaer on a number of occasions.
Since then, things have changed drastically though. Pogba has become one of the best performers in this team while the Red Devils have also shown brilliant progress this season, currently sitting at second in the Premier League table and in the semi-finals of the Europa League.
As a result, at this point of time, it does feel like there is a chance that Pogba could end up staying at Old Trafford and sign a contract extension with the club.
Will it happen though or will he end up leaving in the summer? Only time shall tell.
