Manchester United linked with move for former Arsenal star
Manchester United need reinforcements in a number of positions throughout their squad. But one of their strongest areas is goalkeeping. The Red Devils have two world class goalkeepers in the form of David de Gea and Dean Henderson. And both of them are capable of starting for a top level Premier League side.
De Gea has been the starter at Old Trafford for over a decade now. And it is safe to say that he is one of the best goalkeepers in the history of the club. But mistakes have crept into his game over the past few years.
On the other hand, they have Henderson in their ranks as well. The 24-year-old had a very successful loan spell at Sheffield United where he proved that he can get it done in the Premier League and he has impressed whenever he has been given the chance to start in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side as well.
At this point of time, Henderson appears to be the preferred choice at the club. Naturally, this has lead to rumours that De Gea could be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer. And the Red Devils could turn towards Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez in that case.

Martinez to Manchester United?
Martinez impressed for Arsenal last season and has carried on in that same vein of form after joining Aston Villa in the summer. And his performances are sure to have caught the eye of some clubs.
He is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League right now and as reported by Football Insider, Aston Villa are prepared for a massive summer offer with Manchester United being one of the clubs who are interested in the Argentine.
It does feel like it will all depend on the current goalkeeping situation at the club though. If both Henderson and De Gea end up staying, it is very unlikely that they will try to sign another goalkeeper in the near future.
