Manchester United are sitting in a good position in the Premier League at this stage of the season. With 9 games left to be played, they sit at second position on the table, a point ahead of Leicester City at third and 6 points ahead of Chelsea at fourth.

If there is one thing that we have learned this season though, it is that things can change very quickly in the Premier League. Thus, the top four race is far from over. A couple of bad results and the Red Devils could be right in the middle of a battle for the Champions League spots.

As a result, the focus must be on finishing the season strong and holding on to their position on the table. And if Manchester City slip up, there could still be a chance of mounting a title challenge. Thus, every game moving forward is important.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side appear to have been handed a blow though, as the manager has confirmed that neither Anthony Martial nor Victor Lindelof trained this morning. As reported by Manchester United’s official website, he said:

"“Neither of them [Anthony nor Victor] trained this morning. We are still waiting for final confirmation on how they are.”"

While Martial has not been at his best this season, he still remains a regular member of the first-team.

On the other hand, Victor Lindelof has been very impressive in recent months and has managed to forge a solid partnership in the heart of defence with Harry Maguire, which has kept clean sheets on a consistent basis.

In their last 10 games in all competitions, the Red Devils have kept an impressive 7 clean sheets. And it is safe to say that the performances of Lindelof have played a big role in that.

While Manchester United will be the favourites going into the game, Brighton & Hove Albion cannot be counted out. Graham Potter’s side have won their last two games in the Premier League and are in good form.

After this game, the Red Devils have a very important Europa League quarter-final first leg against Granada coming up as well.
