Out-of-favour Manchester United star set to get second chance
Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs on the planet. With that reputation comes the need to win on a consistent basis. Thus, the competition for places is vert high.
One of the players who has lost out in that competition in recent times is Jesse Lingard. The Englishman came through the club’s youth system and was very highly-rated by the club throughout that period of time.
He began life for the senior side brilliantly as well and managed to establish himself as a first-team player during the time of Jose Mourinho as manager. His game time slowly faded away under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and he just made 3 appearances for the Red Devils this season before being loaned out to West Ham United.
He has made an incredible start to life for the Hammers though, scoring thrice, assisting once and even winning a penalty for them in just 4 appearances.

Lingard might be set to get another chance at Manchester United
The general perception among the fans a few weeks ago was that the club would be happy to find somebody to sign Lingard on a permanent basis. His recent form must have changed their mind regarding the situation though.
A report from ESPN (via CaughtOffside) has indicated that the Englishman might be set to get a second chance at Old Trafford next season.
The club will finally part ways with Juan Mata, who has never quite managed to establish himself as a first-team star ever since joining the Red Devils from Chelsea back in 2014. And he is expected to leave come the end of the season.
But you have to wonder whether Lingard will be open to idea of returning to Manchester United if it meant returning to the bench as well. Surely he must be enjoying playing regular football for West Ham United, who are making a charge for Europe in their own right.
