Generally when a young player signs for Manchester United, it is expected that he will take some time before making his mark in the first-team. But that does not appear to be the case with Amad, who is already making an impression at Old Trafford.

The 18-year-old was signed from Atalanta for an initial £19 million, which could rise to £36 million with add-ons. And if initial signs are anything to go by, that could start to look like a real bargain in the not too distant future.

Amad had already scored a senior goal for Atalanta when he signed for the Red Devils and put in a couple of incredible performances for the under-23s side, scoring thrice and assisting thrice over 180 minutes of action.

That led to him making his debut for the club against Real Sociedad in the Europa League and it looks like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has much bigger plans in store for the teenager.

Manchester United have reportedly cooled their interest in Jadon Sancho following the arrival of Amad

As reported by the Express, the Red Devils have cooled their interest in Sancho because of Amad, which is a massive sign of how highly the club rate him.

Manchester United had spent most of the summer transfer window trying to sign Sancho from Borussia Dortmund but ultimately failed to agree a fee, as they were only willing to shell out €100 million, which did not meet the Bundesliga side’s demands. And now, it looks like that might have been a good thing in the long run as Solskjaer has evidently been very impressed by the youngster ever since he joined.

But it is important to take things one step at a time from here on. While Amad might be an incredible talent, it will be very difficult for him to make at Old Trafford unless he is fully focused. The raw talent is clearly there, now he just needs to put it altogether.
