Manchester United should reunite Bruno Fernandes with special teammate
While Manchester United have enjoyed a brilliant Premier League campaign till now, which sees them sit at second on the table, it is clear that there are certain voids in the squad that need to be filled if they want to be challenging for trophies consistently.
One of those areas is right-wing. While Mason Greenwood has been filling there on most occasions, it is clear that it is not his natural position.
Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri were signed on deadline day in the summer but both of them are teenagers and cannot be expected to deliver on a weekly basis for the senior team. On the other hand, Daniel James just doesn’t look like someone who can be a regular in this team.
As a result, the answer might lie in signing a player in the summer who Bruno Fernandes has had high praise for in the past and hope that they can rekindle the magic when reunited on the pitch, this time for Manchester United.
Raphinha might be the answer to Manchester United’s right-wing problems
As reported by Top Mercato (via Manchester Evening News), while speaking about Raphinha back in December of 2019, Fernandes said:
"“He’s a player with whom I had a different chemistry from the others. He understood me at a glance.“He knew, according to the movement of my body, where I was going to put the ball to him. I also miss him because he brought joy to the locker room. He’s also a responsible and hardworking person.”"

The Portuguese playmaker is clearly the main man at Old Trafford right now. And with Paul Pogba expected to leave in the summer, it might be a good idea to build the team around him. He has already proven that he is a player who deserves that kind of importance.
Thus, reuniting him with a player who he has enjoyed a good relationship with, both on and off the pitch, should be a no-brainer. Especially since Raphinha has already proven himself to be a handful in the Premier League this season.
The Brazilian joined Leeds United in the summer. Since then he has scored 4 goals and provided 5 assists in just 18 Premier League appearances. As a result, the Red Devils should try and get him to Old Trafford when the transfer window reopens.
