With how well Manchester United’s senior team have been doing lately, it is easy to forget how good their youth team is as well. And one of the premier names in their academy right now is that of 17-year-old Shola Shoretire.
Shoretire has been one of the most highly-rated talents in England for quite some time now and naturally, he has drawn interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Scouts from the likes of FC Barcelona and Juventus have watched the youngster extensively, while Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich were also interested in acquiring the midfielder. As a result, United fans could not be blamed for getting worried that they were about to lose one of their most promising players.
It looks like that is not going to be the case though. As reported by Metro, a talk with Marcus Rashford as convinced the teenager to reject interest from elsewhere and pursue his footballing future at Old Trafford.

Shoretire has agreed a new contract with Manchester United
Daily Mail are reporting that the Red Devils have managed to agree a new contract with the 17-year-old prodigy. And it surely would have been a tough decision for the youngster, with offers from such European giants to consider as well.
Rashford himself came through the club’s academy and has established himself as a first-team starter in a short period of time. Still just 23 years of age, the English international has already made 248 appearances for Manchester United, scoring 83 times and providing 49 assists.
It is clear that Rashford is someone who the club’s youngsters look up to, both on and off the pitch. And Shoretire will surely be delighted to be at that stage when he is 23.
Mason Greenwood, who is in his second season with the senior team as well, was another player who the 17-year-old spoke to before agreeing to remain at the Theatre of Dreams.
