Solskjaer under pressure to sell Manchester United trio
Manchester United have made quite the start this season. And while they had dropped five points from their last two games, that does not change the fact that they are still second on the Premier League table.
At the start of the season, most fans would have probably been happy if the Red Devils managed to finish in the top four. Yet, they now find themselves in the middle of a title race. Surely not many would have expected that.
Now, the challenge is to make the next step and actually lift the title come May. And while that is entirely possible, they would perhaps be better positioned to do so if they managed to bring in a couple of signings in through the door.
According to the Mirror, for that to happen, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to get Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero off the club’s books before he can splash the cash in the transfer market.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must let go of Manchester United trio
Out of these three, Rojo looks almost certain to leave. He has been linked with a move to Boca Juniors for quite some time and it will most probably end up going through this month itself. When it comes to Jones and Romero, things might get a bit tricky.
Both of them have been linked with multiple clubs over the past several months as well but nothing has come to fruition yet. As a result, it is very possible that they end up staying at Manchester United till the end of the season.
Whatever may be the case, it is expected that the club will make a few statement signings next summer. They had a very quiet couple of transfer windows in this campaign by their own standards and expect that to change very soon, especially after the progress that the club have made recently under Solskjaer.
