Paul Pogba does not seem to be letting the rumours about his Manchester United future bother him. The Frenchman scored once again to help keep them at the top of the table with another three points.

United got down after a fifth minute goal from Ademola Lookman gave the Fulham side an early lead. The Red Devils controlled possession for most of the game keeping the opposition in their half and Edinson Cavani pounced on a bad mistake from goalkeeper Alphonse Areola to tie the game back up at 1-1.

Enter, Paul Pogba, who grabbed the ball just outside the penalty box and twisted and turned, finding himself in a pocket of space before sending a curler into the far left corner of the net, past the outstretched arms of Areola.

The goal in the 65th minute was the winner as United held on for the win at Craven Cottage pushing their away record to a remarkable 8-2-0 for the season and this was also their fourth win in the last five games.

Pogba was the hero a week ago as well when United took a 1-0 win at Burnley that put them on top of the table. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was very happy with his star midfielder and was full of praise after the star scored a screamer as reported by The Guardian:

"“Paul’s enjoying his football, he’s mentally very happy, physically in very good shape and we know all about his talent.“We’ve always said Paul Pogba can do everything, he can play wide, in central midfield, create chances and score goals. He’s really come on. The key was getting him match fit. Today he was in midfield and he was so committed and got tackles as well as his goal.”"

United kept pace at the top of the table, reclaiming the top spot after Leicester City had gone top after beating Chelsea 2-0 and after Manchester City had defeated Aston Villa earlier.

With Pogba playing well and in form and United doing well on the road, we can consider the Red Devils to be serious title contenders this season.

Even after Mino Raiola told an Italian newspaper that his United career was over, it doesn’t seem to have fazed the French midfield maestro.

United now sit two point ahead of second-placed Manchester City and they will take on Liverpool in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday before taking on Sheffield United at home next Wednesday.
