Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly unhappy with the latest rumours surrounding a potential return to Manchester United.

The comments from Mino Raiola before Manchester United were handed their exit from the Champions League by RB Leipzig, made it clear that Paul Pogba would be making his exit from the club in the near future. Juventus are considered as the Frenchman’s most probable destination when he ultimately departs Old Trafford.

The transfer news also gave rise to a few rumours about Cristiano Ronaldo potentially being a part of a swap deal which would see the Portuguese superstar head back to Old Trafford to make way for Pogba and it looks like he is not happy with these rumours as reported by The Sun.

Ronaldo will turn 36 this February and is still performing at the very top level, scoring 16 goals in his opening 14 matches in all competitions thus far. He currently leads the Seria A scoring charts despite missing a good part of the season.

But reports from various media sources have stated that the Italian club is currently considering ways to reduce their wage bill due to the current pandemic situation, and the Portuguese star is by far the highest earner at the club. As a result, transfer involving him as part of a swap deal for Pogba could be the most suitable option for them right now.

But the former United number 7 is not happy with the idea of swapping him for Pogba, as he believes that he should be valued higher than the French World Cup winner despite being 36 years of age.

To be honest, it is hard to argue against someone who has achieved so much through the course of his illustrious career. Even at his age, he is in spectacular shape. And as we have seen with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, age is really just a number for some people.
