Manchester United Predicted XI vs Everton: VDB starts
Here’s how we think Manchester United will line up when they take on Everton in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup.
Manchester United are currently flying at the moment. They broke into the top four of the Premier League table last weekend despite having played one game less than most teams around them and have the opportunity to go second if they manage to beat Leicester City on Boxing Day.
They will have to take care of Everton before that though as the two sides meet in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup. And both will know that this competition could be their best chance at a title this season.
The Red Devils will have the psychological edge, having already beaten Everton away once this season. But back then, Carlo Ancelotti’s side were going through a slump but are rejuvenated at the moment, coming of three straight wins against Chelsea, Leicester City and Arsenal, respectively.
The Carabao Cup presents the chance to clubs to rest some of their top stars though and although this game is very important, do not expect to see full-strength teams to be on the pitch tonight.
Big guns like Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes are expected to be given a rest, while Victor Lindelof has also played a lot of football this season with a back injury and deserve a breath. Scott McTominay and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be missing through injury.

Here’s how we think Solskjaer will line United up:
Dean Henderson
Timothy Fosu-Mensah
Axel Tuanzebe
Harry Maguire
Alex Telles
Nemanja Matic
Paul Pogba
Donny van de Beek
Juan Mata
Mason Greenwood
Edinson Cavani
It is expected to be a tight affair considering both teams are in great form at the moment. But considering the depth that Manchester United possess, one would hope that they have enough in the tank to see this one through.
