Juventus and Manchester United are amongst the host of European heavyweights currently looking to sign the young prodigy.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is on the brink of completing two years at Manchester United. Two years back when the Norwegian took over the reins from Jose Mourinho, the Red Devils were in the middle of a collapse. He came in and steadied the ship, but the honeymoon period is well and truly over. And now he will be expected to deliver trophies.

For that to happen, the club need to strengthen in certain areas first. And one in need of immediate reinforcements is at right-wing.

The search for a right-winger now seems to be an unceasing pursuit that has gone fruitless so far. Jadon Sancho was the first choice target back in the bygone summer transfer window. Then came the alternatives like Ousmane Dembele, Douglas Costa and many others.

Having started the transfer window matching the pace of a snail, United saw them hurrying to acquire signatures at the last moment. On deadline day, the Red Devils went on to snap up four new signings. Though, none of them was the high profile right-winger that they were living for. And with the squad preparing for a hectic period during the festive season, the need to fill the position will be felt again.

According to La Nazione (via Sportwitness), Manchester United, in particular, have been intensely monitoring the growth of Palmeiras’ forward Gabriel Veron. The 18-year-old can play on both wings and possesses the ability to lead the front-line if needed.

Veron has played 26 matches for the Brazilian Serie A side in all competitions so far, racking up eight goals and three assists this season. Incredible stats for a player of his age. The Brazilian is touted to be the next gem set to make the move to Europe.

Juventus, Arsenal, and Fiorentina are equally interested in the player currently contracted to Palmeiras until 2025. The report claims that Manchester United can sign the forward for around €25 million.

Signing Veron won’t be easy for any Premier League team, including Manchester United. The changes in transfer rules and regulations imposed by the intervention of post-Brexit would make the signing of a player currently playing outside England more troublesome. Therefore, the likes of Juventus and Fiorentina would get an extra edge over the Red Devils next January.
