Manchester United fans have urged the club to take the big decision after their elimination from the Champions League last night.

It seems unthinkable that Manchester United has failed to qualify for the knockout phase of the Champions League despite convincingly beating both Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig in their first two group games. They failed to even get a draw against the German side last night, which would have been sufficient in securing qualification.

United lost 3-2 to RB Leipzig, which resulted in them dropping down to the Europa League. And Ole Gunner Solskjaer has been held responsible for this devastating outcome.

The loss and the subsequent elimination from Europe’s premier competition means that the pressure is back on Solskjaer with the Mauricio Pochettino rumours remerging once again. His tactics have been questionable to say the least in recent weeks. And a few of the fans seem keen on the club making a change as soon as possible:

These were some of the reactions that fans gave despite the club’s impressive four straight wins in the Premier League since the defeat at the hands of Arsenal. Truth be told, there have always been questions regarding Solskjaer’s abilities.

On the other hand, Pochettino has no such problem. He might have been sacked from his last managerial role but his demand has not fallen, with rumours of the Spanish giants, Real Madrid, being interested in his services if they end up getting rid of Zinedine Zidane.

As a result, United have to take a quick decision if they are serious about the appointment of Pochettino as he might not be available in the near future.

Although Solskjaer has been able to get United back on track in the Premier League with them now sitting at the 6th position in the points table despite having a game in hand over those above them. Thus, it looks unlikely that the board will show him the exit door unless the club goes through a bad run of form.
