As transfer rumours continue to swirl around the Frenchman, Paul Pogba has been told to leave Old Trafford by the former Manchester United star.

The result against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night was not something Manchester United fans were hoping for. Things were looking good for the Red Devils in the first half as they were able to gain control of the game after Marcus Rashford scored the equaliser in the 32nd minute, but the second half was a completely different story.

Anthony Marital missed a couple of big chances which could have been the key to the three points United needed to qualify for the Round of 16 on the night.

The little contribution that Pogba had on Wednesday night after coming on in the 73rd minute did not seem to make much of an impact on proceedings and former Manchester United star, Andrey Kanchelskis, believes that the team will be better off with him leaving.

He has urged the Frenchman to leave the club and not make a big deal out of it, if he is unhappy with his present situation in the team. Pogba has been missing a lot of games lately due to his injury issues and at this point of time, he might not be in Solskjaer’s first-team plans any longer.

Kanchelskis appears tired of the transfer speculation always surrounding Pogba and has urged him to finally go through with the move. He has also suggested that United will be better off distancing themselves from the Frenchman’s agent Mino Raiola.

As reported by Goal, these were the former United winger said:

"“Pogba is always talking about leaving Manchester United, so for me, it would be better if you just left.“If you’re saying every time ‘I don’t like this, I don’t like, I want to leave’ then just leave. Go. Leave. No problem.“Of course [Mino] Raiola is a huge problem, he’s always saying that Pogba is not happy at Manchester United.“If you want to come and play for Manchester United, you need to open your heart, play 100 per cent. It’s a shame as Pogba is a great player.”"

It is undeniable that there always appears to be something or the other with Pogba that keeps him in the headlines. And with his contract running out soon, the club might have already decided to cash in while they can.

He is without doubt a huge part of this team though and if he does indeed end up leaving then the Red Devils will need to replace the midfielder.
