Manchester United planning swap deal for £60 million star
Manchester United are reportedly planning an ambitious swap deal for the La Liga star currently valued at around £60 million.
Manchester United are riding a high right now. After back-to-back league wins against Everton and West Bromwich Albion, they managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat yesterday away at Southampton.
The hosts had taken a 2-0 lead in the first half of the game but then Solskjaer’s side managed to turn things around completely. Bruno Fernandes came up good as he has so often since joining the Red Devils and grabbed a goal back. It was then Edinson Cavani’s turn to announce his arrival to the Premier League.
A brace after coming on in the second half was enough to secure all three points for United. As a result, they now find themselves at eighth on the league table and will have a chance to break into the top four if they win their game in hand.
Naturally, there is a positive aura around Old Trafford right now. And it looks like good news could keep rolling in.

As reported by TEAMtalk, the Red Devils are preparing an ambitious swap deal for Villarreal’s Pau Torres, who is currently valued at around £60 million. The 21-year-old centre-back has caught the attention of some of the biggest teams in Europe over the past few seasons and has already established himself in the Spanish national team.
As expected, he will not come cheap but Manchester United are not prepared to spend that kind of money on the defender. As a result, they are hoping that including players in the deal could bring Villarreal’s asking price down. Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo are all believed to be available at the moment.
The Red Devils will probably be hoping that Villarreal are ready to take Bailly back. United signed the Ivorian for £30 million back in 2016 but he has failed to establish himself in the first-team. And with his contract running out in 2022, it could be worth using him as a makeweight in any potential deal for Torres.
