‘Huge Signing’ – Roy Keane hails Manchester United star
By Akash Dutta
Manchester United legend Roy Keane appears to have been very impressed by the new signing after their 3-2 win over Southampton.
Manchester United would have gone into the game against Southampton knowing it was not going to be easy despite their win against Everton and West Bromwich Albion. And those fears turned out to be true in the first half of the game itself when a corner by James Ward-Prowse was capitalized on by Jan Bednarek in the 23rd minute of the game.
Within 10 minutes of the first goal, the Red Devils conceded another when Fred gave away a free-kick near the edge of the penalty box and Ward-Prowse placed the ball perfectly past the hands of David de Gea. As a result, they went into the half two goals behind.
But Solskjaer’s side pulled a massive comeback in the second-half, scoring three straight goals to pull out a win from the jaws of defeat and it was the introduction of Edinson Cavani which proved to be the catalyst. He came on in the 46th minute, scored two fantastic goals and also provided an assist to Bruno Fernandes. United now find themselves at the 8th spot in the Premier League table after securing a win away at the St. Mary’s.

And Roy Keane, who is a man who rarely speaks from anywhere but the heart, appeared to be very impressed with the new Manchester United signing. According to The Sports Review, he said:
"“It was a great contribution when he came on.“He still has great quality as well as hunger and desire. It was a gamble when he came to the club. We saw some bits of Cavani and wondered if he’s still got it? He proved at Southampton he has. He could be a huge signing for Man United.”"
Perhaps it is someone like Cavani that this side needs. A lethal finisher who can take the chances presented to them on a consistent basis. If this performance is anything to go by, then the Uruguayan should be starting every week for Solskjaer’s side.
Of course, that might be bad news for Anthony Martial, who is struggling to find the back of the net at the moment and now has to face stiff competition from one of the best strikers of this generation.
