Manchester United could be set to lose youngster for free
It looks like another Manchester United player could be on his way out of Old Trafford as his contract is set to run out soon.
Most of the transfer rumours surrounding Manchester United right now involve players leaving. Of course, the most dominant one is that of Paul Pogba, who looks set for an Old Trafford exit finally in the summer after years of speculation.
But the Frenchman might not be the only one headed for the exit door. The likes of Dean Henderson, Brandon Williams and Dan James are also believed to be available on the loan market after failing to get many first-team opportunities.
Timothy Fosu-Mensah’s name could be added to that list soon as well as his contract is set to run out at the end of the season. And after managing just 29 appearances since his debut for the Red Devils in 2015/16, the 22-year-old is seriously considering a permanent move away from the club.

According to Football Insider, he has been offered a three-year contract by the club but will hold back till January to assess his options. And the Dutchman is expected to interest of clubs considering the fact that he will be available for free at the end of the season.
He will also be open to sign a pre-contract agreement in January as he will be in the last six years of his contract till then. And it looks like Manchester United might be set to lose one of their young prospects for free.
To be very honest, it will make sense for Fosu-Mensah to pursue his career outside of Old Trafford. Aaron Wan-Bissaka seems to have nailed down the right-back spot at the club and it is unlikely that he will get many opportunities unless the Englishman ends up getting injured. And at 22 years of age, first-team football is what the Dutchman requires. So it is understandable if he does decide to leave.
