FC Barcelona and Real Madrid want Manchester United star
By Akash Dutta
The Manchester United superstar is reportedly being targeted by Spanish giants Real Madrid as well as FC Barcelona.
At the start of the year Manchester United were able to get hold of Bruno Fernandes and were able to land him on a £47 million deal from Sporting Lisbon. Ole Gunner Solskjaer was reported to have consulted with Cristiano Ronaldo before bringing in the midfielder and since then the Portuguese international has had a productive spell at Old Trafford.
Since arriving at the club, he has impacted the team in a very positive manner, scoring 18 goals and providing 13 assists in just 33 appearances. His contribution was one of the biggest factors that helped United secure the 3rd spot in the Premier League last season.
But this season, despite his untiring attempts, the Red Devils have struggled to perform upto standards, securing only 10 points in their first 7 league games. As a result, they find themselves sitting at 14th on the table.

The midfielder is now valued at a whopping £80 million though it may be a concern for the club, as the demand for the 26-year-old is constantly increasing and if the team’s performances don’t improve then United may lose their key playmaker in the upcoming transfer window.
Rumours have surfaced that both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have been keen on signing the Portuguese international, although the Premier League giants have him under contract till 2025. The Spanish giants are willing to offer a hefty transfer fee though and as we have seen in the past on multiple occasions, more often than not they get what they want.
According to a report from Sportsmole, Fernandes may be looking to leave the club if things don’t improve at Old Trafford. And it is reported that, despite the current financial crisis due to the global pandemic, the Spanish giants would not hesitate to make an offer to the Manchester United star.
