Manchester United star reveals he has been playing with injury
The Manchester United star has revealed that he has been playing through an injury and the international break has given him a chance to recover.
The global pandemic has meant that the duration of the footballing season has forced to be cut short. That means that more games have been squeezed into a short amount of time which has resulted in players picking up more injuries than they normally would due to the more demanding schedule.
Manchester United are not a club who have been free of this problem. A number of their players have suffered from niggling issues over the course of the past two months and that is expected to go on throughout the season.
One man who has not received much rest this season is Victor Lindelof. While the defender has had his critics since joining the club, he has been a regular in Solskjaer’s team recently and it is the performances of Harry Maguire that have been the bigger headache for the Red Devils.

Lindelof has revealed though that he has been playing through an injury for all this while. As reported be Fotbollskanalen, the Manchester United defender said:
"“The back feels okay. I’ve been having problems for a few weeks. I’ve struggled through the matches there’s been. It’s nice that I got a few days off now where there has only been treatment and I really tried to rest.“It felt good in training today. Hopefully there should be no problems. If they want me to play, I will try to play and see how it feels. Then after that we will see how the back will be.”"
Any long-term problem for Lindelof would be a huge worry for Solskjaer. The Red Devils already have their issues at the back and adding the Swede would be a problem, with Bailly and Jones already out.
The international break as a result might have come at exactly the right time. It will give those players nursing injuries to get back to fitness while also giving the club to sit back and assess their options after what has been a turbulent start to the season.
Sitting at 13th in the Premier League at this point of time, it is safe to say that there are issues to work on for the Red Devils. But having someone like Lindelof out injured will not make it any easier to solve them.
